This lovely vintage bear the original Dean's Childsplay Toys Ltd of Great Britian Clown Bear, circa 1980s, designed by Patricia N. Schoonmaker, Schoonmaker Signature Series II. This is the second replica bear in the series which first appeared in the 1920s. This unusual, fully jointed Clown Bear is fashioned from mohair specially dyed to match the original blue, pink and white colors, paw pads are off-white felt, bear is wearing lace tutu and collar which are very slightly yellowed with age. This bear was manufactured in the 1980s. Pure British Wool, complete with all tags. (There is a Pure British Wool tag attached to one arm that has been wrinkled.) This lovely specimen has been carefully stored since its original purchase and is in near-mint condition with the original collector box included.
