West Highland Terrier The West Highland Terrier (commonly called "Westie") is a small, cute, irresistible little white dog. The Westie is a big dog in a small package; a ball of fire, balanced somewhere between the Cairn Terrier and the Scottish Terrier. The Westie's cheerful self-confidence is as much a hallmark of the breed as its wiry coat or coal-black nose. The Westie is built for the serious work of tracking and killing large vermin, but when well groomed it competes with the most beautifully coated terrier breeds. Westies are very study, muscular little dogs and their distinctively large, round head is part broad skull and part grooming enhancement. Most Westies in the United States today work as family pets and human companions, but some still excel at the job for which they were originally intended. My tribute to this incredible little dog is ‘Jamie’. Created by special commission, this one-of-a-kind charmer is 15-inches tall sitting on her haunches and 3-way jointed. Her coat is long, dense Schulte Mohair trimmed to resemble the rough coat of the real Westie. Her eyes and nose are black German glass with just a hint of hand-painted staining around the mouth. Jamie wears a leather collar with engraved name tag. One of a kind. SOLD
