Wire-haired Dachshund

Lady, a Wire-haired Dachshund, was a special order creation done from a customer’s photo.  Lady had passed away and her owner wanted a memorial of her.  After several attempts to capture her likeness in Mohair I settled on what you see here.  Oftentimes I’m asked to create a likeness from a customer’s photo, but this was a difficult one for me since it was obvious from the photos how sweet she must have been in life and I knew how much her owners had loved her.
